The Erica Bell Scholarship is committed to help achieve a higher education for the future of God’s children. Anyone who is desirous of a college education or interested in furthering his or her education should have the opportunity to do so.
Scripture:
Proverbs 4: 7 Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Erica Bell was born on December 2, 1967 to the parents of Leroy and Elaine Bell. Erica’s mission was to help and enrich lives. Even though Erica had cancer for her entire life that did not stop her from doing Community Work and participating in as many activities as she possibly could. Erica graduated from Central State in the College of Education in 1991. Erica was a 5th grade teacher for Columbus Public Schools. She believed in higher education and she led by example. Erica died on April 17, 1994 at the age of 26. This scholarship is to continue her legacy by helping college students further their education to achieve their goals.
