Rev. Dr. Kay Williams Dawson is the Senior Pastor of the Cathedral of Praise Church in Miami, Fl. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, she is the Founder and CEO of Cathedral House, Inc., a social services agency providing counseling, anger management and parenting classes along with supervised visitations for the 10th and 11th Judicial Circuit Courts. Kay is the Program Manager for DREF Research Matters for All of Us, the Immediate Past President of the Miami Alumnae Chapter and the Southern Regional Chaplain, for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Because of her love of “Women’s Causes”, she is a member of the Metropolitan Dade County Section of NCNW and the Chaplain for the Southern Pearl’s Chapter of TLOD. She was recently appointed to the Miami-Dade County Interfaith Advisory Board by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. She is the wife of Bishop-Designate Melvin Dawson, mother of 4 and affectionately known to her 4 year old granddaughter as “Gran Gran.”
